Trust my intuition my career consultant not truly helping. The last day on February this year, I went to a job fair with my aunt, a person in charge said my case closed, need to renew! So I went to see my career consultant at North East CDC. I need to take the initiative talk to her about my problems since no response from her! Forget Me! She asked for the written memo I had Consultant With Doctor – A lot of Job Agencies in Singapore but none will say good words! Thinking she may talk good word for me, apply for jobs!
On 25 March 2011, saw her at Workfare Training Support (WTS) roadshow, she asked me to response her about the Training courses the next following week, Monday. Wonder the system went wrong again “rebound” cannot send that what she’d said, when there’s a problem we met! – I had received an email written from her can hold on for more than a week, sent me on "April fool” day! So I waited for 3 days! Because she was on leave! Why no one follows up her job, no one in duty, make me wait!
My career consultant always offered jobs not suit me! Spa and Beauty Industry (Beauty Therapists/Masseurs/Food Reflexologist/Manicurist) Chinatown filled with them! – The smell of the chemicals enough to make me faint! – Breathless! Having sensitive skin my disadvantageous! I’ve been interviewed in “Beauty” Industries, the interviewers said I looked too common, no make-up, don’t like my actual look! They preferred artificial looks! – Not my style either, wearing make-up often!
I’ve considered security job working flexible time, though I know not enjoyable, boring jobs! – Just look at security tired dull faces! At least better sitting at home, no pay! But discouraged by my career consultant, said not suitable as it’s a male-dominated environment! She offered upcoming events, only wasted my unnecessary trips, always located far away because not they conducted! No requirements information given – salary, working time and days! Only show the positions title, the location, time and date!
Only disappointed when I’ve gone for interviews, the notices requirements shown need certificates and license, I don’t have! Might be shocking, need to work 12hrs, 6 days work week! No companies transport! If she gave me the details of the requirements, I will not waste my time, my trips! Why not ask all the MPs and our president work like that too! Guarantee they’ll give up eventually or fainted, or died instantly, because they’re all unfit!
No wheel to run, make me lazy! I’m sick having depression! I’m going crazy! (Should ask your Gods why people become lunatic! – people the problems lor!)
My household income below $1000, all depend on my mother (above 60!) Our government only helped those mentioned in Media, good looking, household income having more than $2000, and nicer home than me! – Crap talks helping the needy! Perhaps they want me become poorer unable to blog and talk anymore, just like Yahoo! Don’t Allow Me To Talk! Doing something bad behind me lor!
Our government related all miscommunication! Other GRCs call me on the phone and provide SMS alerts of any Job fairs, recruitment events. But my North East CDC didn’t provide this service, and its events calendar didn’t show any! Can only depend on my career consultant through email! – Not much, lack of initiative! Only “UGotJob.SG” – other job alert service, connecting jobseekers and employers!

Foresee the future (my advice!), people might need to take different jobs, if one job gone at least till got one support! Because our government stingy, not so helpful at all! All Workfare Training Support (WTS) need money, none are free! If all free, I’ll get the entire certificates to prove my worthy! I wouldn’t waste time idle at home! But these days, does it guarantee stable jobs?

Yesterday, I was quite satisfied Job Fair nears my area at Tampines North Community Club! Small class room with air-con, cooling me! Polyclinic near within, if having sick! – Having job-seek phobia! Fill in lot of Job Registration and Application Forms! Again, again, and again! Job Fairs located here good for promoting businesses! – can go shopping and food centers, all within my reach! Except transport not free, need a feeder bus to reach there lor! But better than e2i, only HDB blocks to view, nothing distracted my misery waiting time having long queue!
Since, North East CDC renewed my case every 3 months, better also renew my current career consultant, since no result – no one monitor their staffs! Humans look at $! No boost, no commission ($), they wouldn’t be so helpful! Who are they, all those up high? No social bonding with me! Just strangers! Only you can see clearly when everybody having the same income, guarantee not many has the true heart, serve the people well!
