Appearance of the international school I worked in my neighborhood looked new and the facilities might be good. But, the toilets not cleaned! Because the ‘new’ cleaners had quit for cleaning the whole buildings! – Their facilities management problems, I need to inform! Cleaners angry with me for doing more jobs! Worst than my local schools with sufficient cleaners, cleaned everyday, no complain! No card rack for employees just put on table for them to pick! Wasted their time searching! No security companies willing to sponsor and upgrade me! Have to wait 1 year, sign bond, and depend on my performance! So, I paid myself, studied part of the “ Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision ” course at ( http://www.premiersecurity.org.sg/ ) The course price for "Supervise Security Officers" was cheaper than SII (less than S$100!) But the time duration longer, 3 days instead of 2.5 days ! – The trainer wanted us pass the tests, so gave us extra training! The notes sheets given shorter than the 2 basic licensing modules, less than 30, more challenge not so too silly. (Easier study course in short days!) Our education sucks! No discount! Security courses start from “basic”, same for all! So, no needs to study lots! Thick notes sheets given (More than 50 pages!) with no Contents to refer had to search through all! Texts were small not easy to read, scenarios scattered here and there (PowerPoint slide show format!) Too many things to remember and record! No resting day, continue trainings and tests! Only good about SII ( Security Industry Institute ) can postpone the test another week, if you’re not ready! But, I rather they’ll spare me a day to study! “No formal education”, not good in English, actually not suitable. Because they will confused and failed easily!
